Applicants Tour Holmfirth 2009
I know, some say it's been a long time- Halloween succeeded the inevitable ending of our time at Nora Batty's steps & wandering the lovely cobbled streets of Holmfirth with bread crumbs in our hands feeding ducks by shit covered grassy paths.

Lloyd Grossman's Band
Last night Paul and I went to see Lloyd Grossman's band play a gig. No, we really did. People are asking me - "woah - what was that like?!", so this is my review.
The gig started funnily enough, the singer's first line's being "I'll provide the skin... you provide the ambre solaire", which frankly had us in stitches. Lloyd would set off on ponderous blues rock licks and at one point was on even on his knees rocking out - including on his own for 2 minutes at the start of song 4. The crowd however didn't seem as up for it as Lloyd was himself, and rather like Lloyd's hair, the whole thing began to wear a little thin after 10 minutes.
If you see these through your keyhole, keep the door firmly closed.
